Economics and Their Types

                  What is Economics ?

→  The Greek word  "OIKONOMIA"  is the origin of the English word  "ECONOMY".

   →  Oikonomia means Household Management.

→  Economics is the social science that analyzes economic process to understand the pattern of                         production, distribution and consumption of goods and services in an economy.

    Branches of Economics ⟹

There are two branches of Economics.

           1) Microeconomics

           2) Macroeconomics

       1)  MICROECONOMICS :

Microeconomics is the study of what's likely to happen when individuals make choices in response to changes in incentives, prices, resources, or methods of production. These scenarios are also known as tendencies.

⚬ Example : Commodity Services (individual manufactures), Labour, Market, Broker,Seller,                                        Private/Personal Finance, Buyer(individual consumer).

       2) MACROECOMONICS :

Macroeconomics is the branch of economics that deals with the structure, performance, behavior, and decision-making of the whole, or aggregate, economy. The two main areas of macroeconomic research are long-term economic growth and shorter-term business cycles.

⚬ Example : National income, Production, Investment, Unemployment, Tax, Fiscal Policy, Monitory                         Policy, Public Finance.

ATMOSPHERE AND THEIR LAYERS

ATMOSPHERE An envelope of gases surrounding the planet/any celestial body is called as atmophere. LAYERS OF ATMOPHERE = there are 5 layers of atmosphere. Troposphere Stratosphere Mesosphere Thermosphere Exosphere TROPOSPHERE :-  Tropos = Vertical movement of air/mixing of air. This is only layer of atmosphere where we find vertical movement of air. This layer have 100% moisture in air. The temperature decrease in the troposphere is called the Environment Lapse Rate. Thickness of Troposphere : 16 Km on tropic/equitor region 9 Km on poles aThe thickness of troposhpere is more at equitor than the pole region.  At the equitor region the solar radiations heats directly the surface. The air present at that region gets warm and moves upward direction. At the pole region the solar radiation heats slintly the surface. The air present at that region does not gets as warm as the air present at the equitor region. The air present at poles is cold therefore the air does not move as ...

HUMAN GENOME PROJECT

HUMAN GENOME PROJECT (HGP) The entire DNA in the haploid set of chromosomes of an oraganism is called a Genome . In Human Genome, DNA is packed in 23 chromosomes. Human genome contains about 3×10⁹ bp (base pairs).  Human Genome Project (1990-2003) was the first mega project for the sequencing of nucleotides and mapping of all the genes in human genome. HGP was coordinated by U.S. Department of Energy and the National Institute of Health . Goals of HGP :- Identify all the estimated genes in human DNA. Sequencing of 3 billion chemical Base pairs of human DNA. Store this information in databases . Improve tools for data analysis . Transfer related technologies to other sectors. Address the  ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) that may arise from the project. METHODOLOGIES :- It involves 2 major approaches. 1. Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs) = Focused on identifying all the genes that are expressed as RNA. 2.Sequence annotation = Sequencing whole set of genome c...
